What is the Writing Marathon?
The Milwaukee Writing Marathon, led by students from Northern Michigan University, is a creative writing experience that allows participants to work in small groups, visit different locations in Milwaukee, draw inspiration from the city, and spend time writing and sharing ideas. The Milwaukee Writing Marathon is open to writers of all abilities.
Register for the Writing Marathon
Preregistration is required to participate and can be completed when registering for the convention. There is no additional cost to participate.
Be Prepared to Participate
The Writing Marathon will include time spent outdoors, so please plan accordingly. March weather in Milwaukee can be unpredictable, with temperatures ranging from mild to cold. We encourage participants to dress in layers, bring warm clothing, and wear comfortable, weather-appropriate footwear. Please come prepared for changing weather conditions so you can comfortably enjoy the experience.
