Presenting at the Convention
What to expect when your work is accepted, how to prepare for your session, and how to deliver your accepted work well.
Once You’re Accepted
You’ll receive an acceptance email with your session assignment, time, and room. Register for the convention immediately — your registration confirms your slot and unlocks the convention app.
Preparing to Present
Read your work aloud once, with a stopwatch. If you exceed the 15-minute time limit, cut. Practice with a chapter peer if you can. Bring two clean printed copies on the day — one to read from, one for backup.
At the Session
Arrive 15 minutes before your session. Introduce yourself to the chair and the moderator. Plan to stay for the entire session — Q&A is part of the experience for the audience and for you.
