Heads up: Book early. Convention rates are available only until the room block is full or the cutoff date—whichever comes first.
Sharing a room is a great way to save money and make lasting friendships. A roommate request form will open with registration.
Sigma Tau Delta is not responsible for roommate compatibility. Attendees are responsible for their own reservations and expenses. We strongly recommend that roommates work out expense details in advance.
Fly into Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE), with a 15-minute taxi or rideshare to downtown.
Lyft and Uber serve MKE; pick-up is at the dedicated rideshare zone. Wait until you have retrieved your bags before booking your ride.
The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) connects MKE to downtown via the Route 80 bus, with stops within walking distance of the Baird Center. The Hop streetcar links the Intermodal Station and the lakefront.
Amtrak’s Hiawatha line runs between Chicago Union Station and the Milwaukee Intermodal Station—a 7-minute walk from the Baird Center. Amtrak also offers group rates and student rates.
Taxi pick-up is at the airport’s arrivals curb. Estimate ~$30–$40 for a downtown ride; taxis accept credit cards.
The convention will use multiple floors of the Baird Center. Floor maps, elevator/escalator routes, and accessible entrances will be available in the convention app and on this page closer to the event.
All of these are an easy stroll, rideshare, or streetcar hop from the Baird Center and the official hotel block.
