Nnedi Okorafor is a Hugo and Nebula award-winning novelist of African-based science fiction, fantasy and magical realism for both children and adults. She has also written comics, including the highly anticipated Shuri: The Search for Black Panther and LaGuardia. Her first work of non-fiction, Broken Places & Outer Spaces: Finding Creativity in the Unexpected, will be published in the summer of 2019. The New York Times describes Okorafor as one of science fiction’s “most innovative and visionary writers.”
