The Harriet Beecher Stowe House will be open Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a special event exclusively for Sigma Tau Delta Convention attendees. This open house will include coffee and snacks and a looping tour that you can jump into at any point and follow through to your starting point. At 6:00 p.m., Professor Emeritus John Getz of Xavier University will host a book discussion and Q & A of Uncle Tom’s Cabin. The special admission pricing of $3 for our members throughout the Convention applies to this special event as well. If you are planning to “live deep and suck out all the marrow” of Convention like our friend Henry David Thoreau, this is a great chance to visit the Stowe House without missing any other scheduled events.
